Implantology is the branch of dentistry that uses implant screws to replace one or more missing teeth.
We have been specializing in implantology for over 40 years, achieving excellent quality standards in terms of effectiveness and safety.
Dental implants are screws made of titanium, a safe and highly biocompatible material. The quality of the implant is a key detail for the success of the treatment, which is why we use certified, high-quality implant screws (Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Biomet 3i), with which we have achieved excellent results for around 40 years.
The prosthesis attached to the implant is made of a metal structure coated with composite resin or ceramic, depending on the needs of the clinician and the patient.
The procedure for placing dental implants is carried out in our state-of-the-art operating rooms, in complete sterility and safety.
For each operation, the surgeon is assisted by a team composed of an anesthesiologist and a professional nurse with over 25 years of experience in hospital surgery, ensuring constant monitoring for our patients.
The duration of the procedure depends on the number of implants to be placed and other clinical variables (the need for bone regeneration, periodontal surgery, etc.). However, the average time for placing a single implant is only 10 - 15 minutes.
The surgical procedure is completely painless because it is performed under local anesthesia, to which we can add, at the patient's request, conscious sedation.
If the clinical conditions allow, we can guarantee you a new, fixed, and stable set of teeth in just one visit and within 24 hours of the implant placement (visit the Immediate Implantology section for more information).
If "immediate loading" of the implant screw with the prosthesis is not possible, we must wait for the physiological osseointegration between the screw and the bone. In this case, the final teeth will be obtained in about 2-3 months (3 visits in total).
There is not always sufficient thickness or height to correctly place the implants. Currently, there are various techniques to regenerate your bone so that it can accommodate an implant.
Here are the bone regeneration procedures:
Your implantologists are Dr. Vincenzo Pitino, who has over 35 years of experience in the dental field, particularly in implantology.
Dr. Mattia Pitino, specialized in the Department of Periodontology and Implantology at New York University, with 20 years of expertise in Implantology.
Each implantology treatment at the Pitino Dental Center is personalized based on the number of implants, the type of prosthesis, and any regenerative procedures, which will be evaluated and defined during the first visit.
